When Boston Cream went out to subscribers as an in-development flavor in April, the feedback was consistently great. So there wasn’t any debate around this flavor deserving a full launch. The only question was whether or not we could make it better.
Our flavor development team looked at subscriber feedback to see if anything stood out, then found a few small tweaks that would make this flavor basically perfect.
First, they added more Bavarian cream and vanilla notes that balance so well with the Ghirardelli chocolate. Then they dialed in the consistency by slightly increasing the oat quantity in the formula. Last, they added a tiny bit of salt to bring out a little more flavor overall.
So how would we describe the finished result? Simple. It tastes exactly like a Boston cream donut. If you’re into that kind of thing, mark the date. This flavor launches July 22nd.
